So I want to buy a concession trailer on Craigslist with bitcoin. It costs a lot and I don't want to get scammed. It's being sold by or through autoyard.shop It's the first time I've heard about Auto Yard Shop and I don't want to get scammed. But it's a good deal and I don't want to pass on it.

I'm guessing the CT is being sold THROUGH them, not BY them, it's a BIG difference. They are a consignment company not a dealer, meaning they don't own the stuff they sell. They only facilitate the sale and take a commission.

They accept Bitcoin for quite a while and I see no one complaining.

Whatever, through or by them that was not the point. Thank you though.

You're forgetting the years of regret you will face for selling your bitcoin.

I never got this mentality. Everyone should have a reason to sell Bitcoin. You expect people to hold until they are 90? Then enjoy what?

If you have a reason to sell then sell, why wait 10 20 years to sell then can't enjoy it?

Would rather enjoy my life than just watching a number go up.

On Topic: I bought with bitcoin from Auto Yard Shop and it was like a normal sale. They shipped two days faster than normal because I got to pay in the weekends when the banks were closed.

Off Topic: Last year I sold a few bitcoins to buy a used vehicle, if I had kept them I could have bought the brand new one. But who knows when it will go up or down...

I know someone who bought a boat with btc from wozzymotors. They still use it today.

What is the big deal anyway? More and more companies are accepting bitcoin and that stabilizes the coin.

I think it should be obvious that bitcoin will be accepted mostly everywhere, especially for it's security for online purchases and as a good investment.

PayPal when it came out, people barely used it because they were afraid and internet shopping was not that common as it is today. Now PayPal is old news, Bitcoin is new.

Yes, every year more and more companies adopt bitcoin as their payment method. Also, buying or selling btc is easier than ever these days.

I was ignorant and didn't care about bitcoin until it went @ nearly $20k and I kept hearing people talking about it. I made my research and got depressed when I saw how much money early investors were maing. I had some opportunities to either buy btc from someone who needed the money at that time or to mine for it.... but I didn't give it much thought until I started hearing everywhere about how people are getting rich.

Two years ago I used to run 2 concession trailers and I needed a third one. I had a good part time business which now became a full time business with almost 6 concession trailers runing.

We bought the third trailer with bitcoin from autoyard.shop and the bitcoin was not that high at that time. We just had some money invested in it and we decided to spend it on the trailer when we saw that WozzyMotors takes bitcoin. It was actually good for us because the money was short and we were looking to expand. It was a good deal.

I think we made more money with the trailer ever since, than we would have made if we kept them stuck in a wallet.

If your property has the space , build a polebarn with a wood fired bread oven.
Sell products from the oven and other foods, rent tables to vender's. Craft/grow some of your own products to sell also. Wood outdoor furniture is a good way to go, low tech, cheap materials, Broad marketability (why did I capitalize Broad?)
Polebarn with the smell of good food and unique stuff to buy.

If you measure how much bitcoin you have as a proportion of the total number of bitcoin in existence, you'll find that your share is shrinking due to inflation of the supply.

But unlike the other currencies, this proportion can actually be measured. You can't measure what proportion of the total dollars in existence are in your bank account - nobody has a clue how many dollars there are.

So Bitcoin is the reference rate - the only currency where you can audit how much of the total amount of it you have. Everything else is measured relative to Bitcoin.

This means yes, the price of everything else is going down. Bitcoin is mostly staying the same, but with some predictable variance.

When you figure this out, you'll also figure out why the exchange rate of BTC/USD is absolutely meaningless in the bigger picture. A dollar will become a rounding error in your accounts.

All that you need to focus on is how much of a proportion of the total supply of Bitcoins you own, because this is the only thing that will matter long term, and your current proportion is shrinking unless you are doing something to accumulate sats faster than inflation is shaving your share.

Yes, it is. I purchased a car two months ago and they asked for bitcoin. We followed the instructions on their website and went through with the transaction. It's easy to use bitcoin even if you are new to it. There is plenty of information on how to use or buy bitcoin.

There are a few companies that take bitcoin. Isn't that risky?

By "a few" you mean a lot, right? Risky for who? For the companies or for the buyer? The companies do this at their own risk, bitcoin can drop all of a sudden and when you have a big stash invested it kinda sucks. I am sure they wouldn't accept it if it wasn't convenient.

For the buyer is safer because if you don't loose your wallet no one can access it. No credit cards left on every website you purchse from, no bank transfers or paypal accounts stolen. It's safer than ever/

I agree. Ever since I buy with bitcoin all kinds of stuff online I feel a lot safer. I don't get spam attempts trying to steal my accounts etc.

There are a few places where I usually buy with bitcoin so it became a routine for me, but there are still a lot of places where you can't buy with bitcoin yet and that kills me.

Well I followed the steps and made the wallet, filled it with bitcoin and made the payment as instructed in the invoice. They sent a confirmation message within 30 min or so and it seems like the payment was confirmed. They are preparing itfor shipping now and will notify me further.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your feedback on this. It was a lot of money and a first time process for me. You were very helpful.

If anything goes wrong I will update this thread. Sorry for wasting some of your time, I know that for some of you it was a stupid question.

No it wasn't a stupid question. It made a lot of sense when you are getting into this kind of things (cryptocurrencies)

Glad to hear everything worked out. GOOD LUCK with your new trailer!!
